BEAUMONT — Police in two cities are seeking information about a man who could be involved in separate bank robberies.

An unidentified man entered the Prosperity Bank location at 6150 Eastex Freeway in Beaumont shortly before 9:45 a.m., Monday. The man, described as a white male, was wearing a green T-shirt, blue jeans, dark sunglasses and a Dallas Cowboys cap. This is how the person involved in a separate bank robbery attempt on Saturday, July 27, in Orange was described as well.

On Monday, the man entered the Beaumont bank and, according to information from the Beaumont Police Department, began to write a note on a piece of paper, which he then handed to a teller. Police said the man demanded money, threatened to kill the teller and stated he was carrying a gun.

The bank teller complied with the culprit and handed him the money in the drawer. The man, who was captured on video, left the bank through the front door and was seen running northbound on the service road.

On Saturday, July 27, shortly after 10 a.m., at the Chase Bank location at 3109 16th St. in Orange, a man wearing matching clothing entered the bank, proceeded to the counter, where he then handed a teller a note demanding money.

The man did not display a weapon. However, according to a report, the unidentified man appeared to become nervous and fled the scene without taking anything from the bank.

The man was last seen running from the bank headed north on 16th Street.
