Police capture serial bank robber

GALVESTON — A Nederland man has been arrested in connection with two bank robberies, according to authorities.

David Randall Terrell of Nederland was apprehended by law enforcement agents late Wednesday afternoon in Galveston. Officers with the Beaumont Police Department, Galveston Police Department, Vidor Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals Service assisted in the capture of the man and the investigation into these bank robberies.

Police obtained federal arrest warrants for Terrell, 32, on Jan. 18 for the robbery of the MidSouth Bank location at 1384 N. Main St. in Vidor, as well as the Jan. 18 robbery of the BBVA Compass bank located at 2635 Interstate 10 East in Beaumont.

Terrell is also reported to be cosidered a suspect by police in the Jan. 20 robbery of the Woodforest National Bank location inside Kroger on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, but he has not yet been charged with that crime.

No information on Terrell’s bond has been announced at this time.
