Man wields knife, robs store on FM 1130

ORANGE — Authorities are searching for a man involved in an early morning robbery at a local business.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating the unidentified male involved in the aggravated robbery of M&S Grocery Store, located at 10876 FM 1130 in Orange at approximately 5:30 a.m., Wednesday.

A store employee informed deputies arriving at the scene that an unidentified man entered the store shortly before 5:30 a.m., and demanded money from the store clerk while wielding a knife, according to information from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The clerk complied with the culprit’s demands and gave him the money from the cash register. The man then fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money and headed south toward the Kinard Estates subdivision.

The man is described as approximately 5’5” in height with a small frame. He was wearing a dark colored ski mask and dark-colored jacket. His race was undetermined.

The incident remains under investigation, but authorities are “currently following up on several leads.”
