Vidor Rotary to hold community-wide garage sale

VIDOR — It’s that time of year again — time for Spring cleaning! So clean out your closets and cabinets and reserve a spot for Vidor Rotary’s community-wide garage sale, to be held at Woods’ parking lot from 8 a.m. until noon., Saturday, April 13.

Spaces are the size of a parking space and are only $10 each, so buy one, or more if you need them. The sizes are 21 x 10.5 feet. Patrons can begin setting up at 7 a.m., Saturday. Rotary will mark spaces that morning. Everything must be taken down by 1 p.m.

Vendors may sell things from home as well as craft items or baked goods. Vendors keep all proceeds from what they sale, but the spot is not secured until the rental fee has been paid to Rotary. Forms are available from Sally Andrews at VISD Administration or Karen Tipton at Capital One. Deadline for registration is noon on April 11, Thursday. Forms may also be obtained by emailing Sally Andrews at sandrews@vidorisd.org.

“This is a great way to sell your things,” says Rotary Club President Sally Andrews. “When you have a community-wide sale with more booths, then more folks come out to see what’s for sale. At our fall sale, the vendors mostly had a really good morning. We had a wide variety of things for sale including Scentsy and jewelry. This time we are also allowing food sales. We hope folks will come out and rent a cheap booth, have a great morning, and sell, sell, sell!”

Rotary’s green bus will be on hand with a free book for each child who brings a parent with them to visit.
