The Citizens Collection Site served 4,200 people in the past two months for a cost to the county of $25,000 increasing the need to implement the windshield sticker and disposal pass recently approved by the Orange County Commissioners Court.

County Engineer Carl Slacum said, during the Monday meeting, the stickers and passes will be available at the Road and Bridge Office and at the Tax Office in Orange and Vidor in a week.

“It may be longer than a week,” Slacum said. “They are at the printers now. They need at least five to seven business days.”

Slacum also said he has had people trying to purchase the stickers and passes.
