ORANGE — A Town Hall meeting is being called for 10 a.m. - noon on Saturday to give residents an opportunity to discuss the Confederate Veterans Memorial being built.
Residents are asked to join the discussion which will include clergy, elected officials, civic leaders and a moderator from the National Action Network.
National Action Network is a civil rights organization founded in 1991 by Reverend Al Sharpton.
The meeting is to answer questions and give residents the opportunity to voice opinions openly without interference.
Granvel Block, Commander of the local Sons of the Confederate Veterans, has been asked to be present to address his side as well.
The meeting will be at the American Legion Lloyd Grubbs Post 49, 108 Green Avenue in Orange.
