David Bradley seeks reelection to the Texas State Board of Education

AUSTIN, Texas — Long-time State Board of Education member David Bradley has considered the alluring prospect of representing Southeast Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives. The makeup of the conservative district aligns nearly perfectly with his conservative leadership and with the current configuration of District 7, which he represents on the State Board of Education.

But after speaking with many who have supported his years of service to Texas taxpayers, parents, their children and their education, and following much prayerful consideration, Bradley announced Thursday that he has decided not to seek higher office at this time.

“I intend to stay the present course and to fulfill the duty and promise made to District 7 voters when I filed for reelection to the Texas State Board of Education this month,”  Bradley said in a press release.

He thanks all those who offered him their time and monetary support to pursue the congressional seat and looks forward to helping the voters of CD 36 send a true Texas Republican  conservative to Washington.

One of only 15 members on the State Board of Education (SBOE), David Bradley represents Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, Sabine, San Augustine, and Tyler Counties.
