PINEHURST — The Pinehurst Volunteer Fire Department held its annual Christmas Dinner on Saturday. Members of the fire department, wanting to pay tribute to our local veterans, presented a plaque to Phillip Aaron Pollock, who holds dual police commissions with the Pinehurst Police Department and the Precinct 2 Constables office, thanking him for his service to our country as a former member of the United States Army. The plaque was presented by Gordy Fregia, PVFD President and Chaplain, Randy Anding. Also present were Officer Pollock’s parents and grand parents. Pinehurst City Administrator Joe Parkhurst led the gathering with a prayer before dinner. The Christmas dinner, which has become a tradition, brings together members of all city departments and their families. The dinner was catered by Pinehurst Barbecue.
