Fly traps, gnats found at area restaurant

ROSE CITY — Fly traps around the three compartment sink and several gnats are part of the reason for Spindletop Restaurant, 1480 Freeway Blvd. in Rose City received a 79 out of a possible 100 during a recent health inspection. Other demerits received are for employee drinks found on the prep table, in need of dating and labeling all foods in the coolers, milk stored next to raw meat in the walk-in cooler, defrosting chicken inside the three compartment sink, and soap and towels needed at the hand-washing station.
