Local restaurant receives ‘No Score’ for roach problem

ORANGE — Kotoyama received a ‘No Score’ Tuesday after a health code inspection.

The Orange County Health Code Inspector reported discovering several small German roaches on the floors, crawling on the walls and inside the oven.

The restaurant normally closes between the lunch and dinner hours during which a pest management company came in to treat the restaurant, dining room and empty spaces next to the business. The pest company retreated the next day.

The business will continue to have a ‘No Score’ until re-inspection during the early part of the coming week.

Demerits are for the need to date foods inside all the coolers.

Demerits are for the store name and address is needed on all bags of ice sold and the cappuccino machine in need of being cleaned.

Score: 90

The store received demerits for spiders found inside the meat market prep room.

Score: 96

The following location had zero violations and received a perfect score of 100:
