ORANGE — A motor, inside a walk-in freezer, dripping water onto foods contributed to Denny’s Restaurant, 7112 Interstate 10 in Orange, receiving an 86 out of a possible 100 during a recent health code inspection. The restaurant also received demerits for needing to cover foods in the reach-in coolers and for floors and storage shelves needing to be cleaned of old foods.

McDonald’s #3325, 765 North Main Street, Vidor, received a 94 during a routine inspection. The fast food establishment received demerits for storing chemicals above BBQ sauces, several dishes with old foods and the need for the coolers to be cleaned of old foods. The inspection report notes the manager pulled all the dishes to be rewashed.

A lack of hot water in the restrooms caused Taco Bell #2355, 455 North Main Street, Vidor, to acquire a 96 during the routine inspection.

Mold found on the drink dispensers at Subway #3353, 2809 MacArthur Drive, Orange, as well as food found on the vegetable cutter lead to the restaurant to obtain a 97 during the routine inspection.

Mongolian Grill and Sushi, 3104 Brown Drive, Orange, received a 96 for not having all the foods in the coolers and freezers dated.
