Sanitary sewer line to be relocated

ORANGE — Infrastructure improvements along 15th Street was the main topic during the Orange Economic Development Corporation (EDC) meeting Tuesday evening.

Orange EDC Director Jay Trahan said the cost should not exceed $350,000 during the public hearing conducted during the EDC meeting.

“The cost is to be finalized after the bidding process,” Trahan said. “At this point we are estimating the cost to be at $350,000.”

The project is for the relocation of a 27” sanitary sewer line along 15th Street for the purpose of economic development.

The EDC also considered a resolution authorizing the Orange City Manager to enter into an agreement with Schaumberg & Polk Inc. for professional engineering services for the project. The engineering fees are not to exceed $67,720 and is included in the $350,000 estimated cost of the project.

The Orange City Council approved the resolution in the meeting immediately following the EDC meeting.

Trahan said he would present the final cost for approval after the bidding process had been completed.
