BRIDGE CITY — Egg and sausage were found at unsafe temperatures at The Donut Shop, located at 1125 Texas Ave. in Bridge City, during a recent Health Code and Compliance inspection leading to a score of 92 out of a possible 100. The business also received demerits for vents above the fryer in need of being cleaned of old grease.

Texas Food Store, located at 305 Burton Ave. in Orange, received a 93 during a recent inspection for the need of the store name and address on all bags of ice sold. The report also noted the store was in need of a container for the ice scoop. The scoop was found laying next to the ice machine.

Cooler doors not closing properly contributed to Jack in the Box #3919 located at 2900 16th Street in Orange receiving a 94 out of a possible 100. The store also received demerits for coolers, both walk-in and reach-in were in need of being cleaned of old foods as well as floors and walls throughout the establishment in need of being cleaned.

Shelves inside the milk cooler in need of being clean caused CVS Pharmacy #6381 located at 2425 North 16th Street in Orange to receive a 97.

Smart Stop Food Mart located at 811 Strickland Drive in Orange received a 96 for  storing bait shrimp above bags of ice.

Get-N-Go located at 1150 Texas Ave. in Bridge City received demerits for chemicals stored above paper goods and slim found inside the ice machine. The score was 94.

In need of the store name and address on all bags of ice sold lead to Cypress Plaza #1 located at 7014 North State Hwy. 87 in Orange and Orange Food Mart located at 4710 Meeks Drive in Orange to receive a 96 each during a recent inspections.

Mold was found inside the ice machine at Smoker’s Express located at 1050 16th Street in Orange leading to a score of 97 out of a possible 100.

The following locations had zero violations and received a perfect score of 100:

• Red Wagon Cafe

445 West Freeway, Vidor.

• Big M’s Exxon Station #3

1918-A Strickland Drive, Orange

• Kwick Stop #4

3110 16th Street, Orange

The following locations passed a pre-opening inspection:

• The White House

320 West Bolivar Street, Vidor

• Ruby’s Cafe

2246 MacArthur Drive, Orange
