Author announces website for The Train Stopped in Orange

ORANGE — Carrie Joiner Woliver, former Orange resident and author of The Train Stopped in Orange, announced a new website for the book:

Woliver, a Stark High School graduate, said the site will allow classmates and friends to learn more about the book.

Readers can learn about the books contents, the author and follow Woliver on her blog. The site also offers a comment section.

Signed copies of the book are currently available at The Old Orange Café, 914 West Division Street, at the special rate of $10.

Woliver is very pleased with the reception of her book, which is based on the 1917-18 diaries of her grandparents in Orange.

“Most readers especially enjoy the sections on the fifties which brings back many warm, fuzzy memories to them,” Woliver said. “ They also say the descriptions of my grandmother, Pearl Joiner, reminded them of their wonderful grandmothers.”
