Orange woman stars in commercial

ORANGE — A once in a life time opportunity.

Suzanne Perry, of Orange, recently returned from shooting a commercial in Los Angles.

Perry, 65, modeled in Orange locally for dress shops when she was younger. It was not something she thought she would be doing now.

She was one of 16 selected of over 700 people who applied for the commercial shoot.

“I have taken the vitamins for about five years now,” Perry said. “When I reordered I told the person how great they were and they asked me to send  in pictures.”

Two years later, Perry received an e-mail saying she has been selected.

“I thought it was a gimmick at first,” Perry said. “I felt like I was Cinderella during the shooting.”

Perry also said that with the makeup techniques they used she would not recognize herself if she sees the commercial for Viviscal Vitamins.

Perry said that everytime the director yelled cut, there were people on each side of her patting her face or fluffing her hair.

“It was really too much attention for me,” Perry said. “But a wonderful opportunity.”

Perry said she made friends with two of the other ladies selected and said it was a once in a life time experience on the West coast.

The vitamin company is based in Chicago.

Perry has not been told when the commercial will air.
