Relay for Life Team Captain meetings
The Orange County Relay for Life will begin holding monthly Team Captain meetings on Monday, Jan. 28. The Team Captain meetings will be held at the Lamar State College – Orange Wilson Building, Room 101. The Jan. 28 meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. Additional team captain meetings are scheduled for: Feb. 25, March 25 and April 22. The Orange Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is beginning its annual book drive to collect “gently used” books for their scholarship fund. GED Test Dates
Vidor ISD announces that GED tests are changing beginning in January 2014. Those who are currently working on the test process must complete it in 2013 or start the process over from the beginning. The 2013 test dates for GED at the AIM Center High School are Feb. 20 and Feb. 21, and March 20 and March 21. Dates are subject to change, and more dates will be held each following month, so check with the testing centers at 951-8780. Examinees are expected to arrive on time. Testing begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. Doors will be locked at that time. Tutoring for the GED is also available in Vidor ISD. Call AIM Center High School for further information.
