The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce will bid farewell to another successful year with its annual meeting next week.
The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce presents its Taste of the Bayou Annual Banquet at 6 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13 at the new Orange County Convention and Expo Center at 11475 FM 1442 in Orange. Individual tickets are $10, while the cost for a table of eight is $150 and a table of ten is $180. Tickets may be purchased at the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce, 150 W. Roundbunch Road in Bridge City, or from any ambassador of the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce or at the door on the night of the banquet.
The 2013 event was a spectacular sold-out event and this year’s banquet is expected be equally well-attended with the move into the much larger facility of the Orange County Convention and Expo Center.
The event features an array of area restaurants offers patrons a variety of tasty cuisine, which was a highlight of the previous banquet.
The meeting will begin promptly at 7 p.m., and awards and recognition are a part of the festivities as well. An award being presented is for Citizen of the Year, which will be presented to Jerry Jones, the city manager of Bridge City.
Another prestigious award given by the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is the Business of the Year Award. This year’s nominees include Bridge City Bank, Dupuis Tire and Service Center and David Self Ford. The winner will be announced at Monday’s banquet.
Live entertainment will also be featured by the Gulf Coast Playboys. The public is welcome to attend.
