Holiday closures for Thanksgiving

Get your official business done early because many locations will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

All local, state and federal governmental offices will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, including banks and credit unions, as well as the United States Postal Service.

City offices in Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor, Rose City and Pine Forest will be closed on Thursday and Friday and resume normal business hours on Monday.

Each city office is expected to remain open for normal business hours on Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving.

Garbage will run as normal in Vidor, but, in Orange, garbage regularly collected on Thursday will now be picked up on Friday and garbage regularly collected on Friday will now be picked up on Saturday. And, in Pinehurst, the garbage collected on Friday will be picked up on Saturday instead.

All official Orange County offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday as well.

Mail delivery will not be available on Thursday from the United States Postal Service, but the USPS will return to normal operation hours on Friday as the official holiday season begins.

All financial institutions will be closed on Thursday in observance of the holiday and reopen on Friday.
