Valero clerk robbed at gunpoint

A store clerk at the Valero convenience store located at 1427 Strickland Drive was robbed by two suspects brandishing a knife and a gun.

The 20-year-old clerk was leaving the store and walking to his vehicle about 11:10 p.m. Saturday when he was approached by the two suspects.

The suspects reportedly took the clerk’s wallet and cell phone. They also attempted to enter the business by forcing the clerk to unlock the door.

However, after being unable to remove the outer lock the suspects fled on foot.

They were reportedly wearing ski masks and one of the suspects was wearing a burnt orange, long sleeved University of Texas shirt which could possibly a sweat shirt.

If the suspects are convicted of the first degree felony of aggravated robbery they could face up to 99 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
