Tammi Fisette and manager Candi Loerwald of Wal-Mart of West Orange presented a check for $1,000 to Commander Dewey Vaughan and Gary Alford, both of American Legion Post 7 (Port Arthur), for the American Legion’s “Operation Camo Christmas” program on Friday afternoon. The program will solicit community support for Christmas gift items for local active duty military personnel overseas. Care packages will begin shipping in mid-November. American Legion Post 49 of Orange, Bridge City Post 250, Vidor Post 112, and Nederland Post 493 have already joined up in the program, as has the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Orange.
