Businesses to close in honor of nation’s birthday

With the arrival of the Fourth of July on Friday, a majority of businesses will be closed for the long holiday weekend.

All state of Texas and Orange County offices will be closed Friday and reopen Monday, as will all city offices in Orange, West Orange, Pinehurst, Bridge City, Vidor, Rose City and Pine Forest.

Although Waste Management will run service in the surrounding Beaumont areas on Friday, West Orange will not have garbage collection as per its contract.

Other sanitation services, whether city operated or Allied Waste, will either run as normal or have no change in service in the remaining areas.

All banks and credit unions will be closed on Friday with some reopening for Saturday service, such as the drive through lanes at Orange Savings Bank.
