Vidor man indicted for fatal accident

The Orange County grand jury indicted a Vidor man last week on charges of manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid after he reportedly struck another car Dec. 23, 2007, and fled the scene.
Edward Hampton Hart, 26, of Vidor, is accused of recklessly causing the death of a 43-year-old woman when he allegedly crossed several lanes of traffic and struck her vehicle. He is also accused of leaving the scene without summoning help as required by law.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene of the two vehicle collision at approximately 1:35 a.m. Dec. 23, north of Corbet Drive on FM 105.
Investigators ruled Learlie Tyler, of Silsbee, died at the scene of the wreck after her 2006 Honda Accord was allegedly struck by a 2002 Chevrolet 2500 pickup driven by Hart.
According to reports, the Chevrolet truck was traveling south on FM 105, in the inside lane, when it suddenly crossed the center turning lane and entered the two north traffic lanes.
The truck collided with the Honda Accord head on, killing Tyler and injuring another female passenger. A third female in the car escaped serious injury.
Witnesses at the scene reported Hart fled the scene on foot shortly after the collision.
Other indictments returned include:
• Kimberly Renee Adams, 27, Vidor, driving while intoxicated with a child passenger- Adams is accused of being an intoxicated driver while she had a minor child in the vehicle and crashing into a school bus;
• Marvin Donald Pyatt, 41, Orange, driving while intoxicated with a child passenger- Pyatt is accused of being an intoxicated driver while he had a minor child in the vehicle;
• Angele Marie Miranda, 43, Deweyville, driving while intoxicated with a child passenger- Miranda is accused of being an intoxicated driver while she had a minor child in the vehicle;
• Andres Rico Llanes, 51, Orange, indecency with a child - Llanes is accused of sexually molesting a child at a residence.
• Ronald James Garlow, 18, Orange, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle - Garlow is accused of stealing a vehicle at the hospital.
• Riginald Stefan Scott, 18, Orange, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle - Scott is accused of stealing a vehicle at the hospital.
• Shannon Alan Harrington, 20, Vidor, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle - Harrington is accused of stealing a vehicle and wrecking it.
• Damon Gill Segura, 22, Leesville, La., unauthorized use of a motor vehicle - Segura is accused of stealing a vehicle in Orange was arrested in it in Leesville, La.
• Bobby Ray Sarver Jr., 35, Orange, burglary of a habitation - Sarver is accused of breaking into a residence and stealing property.
• James Clary Ray IV, 22, Orange, burglary of a building - Ray is accused of breaking into the Texas Workforce and stealing a computer.
• Yasmin Goetz, 44, Houston, securing execution of a document by deception- Goetz is accused of lying about her employment income in order to collect excessive welfare benefits.
• Felicia Hughey, 38, Orange, securing execution of a document by deception- Hughey is accused of lying about her employment income in order to collect excessive welfare benefits.
• Daryl Dewayne Richard, 17, Orange, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information- Richard is accused of stealing identifying information and using it to set up telephone accounts.
• Derrick Myron Nickerson, 40, Kasciusko, Miss., felony possession of marijuana - Nickerson is accused of being in possession of a felony amount of marijuana.
• Jeffery Demario Erving, 21, Kasciusko, Miss., felony possession of marijuana - Erving is accused of being in possession of a felony amount of marijuana.
• Tim Harris, 43 Kasciusko, Miss., felony possession of marijuana - Harris is accused of being in possession of a felony amount of marijuana.
• Van Glen Ned Jr., 36, Sulphur, La, felony possession of marijuana - Ned is accused of being in possession of a felony amount of marijuana.
• William Henry McManus II, 60, Kasciusko, Miss., felony possession of a controlled substance - McManus is accused of being in possession of methadone and other drugs following a traffic stop.
• Bob Earl Logan Jr., 29, Orange, felony possession of a controlled substance - Logan is accused of being in possession of cocaine.
