Weapons at Vidor High School result in two indictments

Weapons brought to Vidor High School on two separate occasions by two different men resulted in the Orange County grand jury returning indictments.

The grand jury indicted Benjamin Elie Myers, 18, on a charge of Aggravated Assault.

Myers is accused of stabbing another student at Vidor High School on Feb. 2.

The victim was reportedly taken to a hospital with what was believed non-life threatening injuries.

If Myers is found guilty of the second degree felony charges of aggravated assault he could face up to 20 years in prison.

Another indictment returned was against Ronald Kenneth Haney Jr., 21, of Vidor. He is accused of exhibiting a firearm at the high school on Oct. 19, 2007.

If convicted of the third degree felony charges he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Other indictments returned include:

• Gwendolyn Bradshaw Myran, 45, Orange, arson- Myran is accused of setting a residence on fire;

• Deanna Simmons, 44, Vidor, securing execution of a document by deception- Simmons is accused of lying about her income in order to receive excessive welfare benefits;

• David Alan Blair, 37, Orange, burglary of a building- Blair is accused of breaking into a building and stealing property;

• Larry Jo Ellis, 19, Orange, burglary of a building- Ellis is accused of breaking into a storage building and stealing property;

• Matthew Joseph Fontenot, 18, Orange, burglary of a building- Fontenot is accused of breaking into a storage building and stealing property;

• Ryan Marshall Champagne Jr., 20, Vidor, burglary of a habitation- Champagne is accused of breaking into a residence and stealing property;

• Robert Lloyd Laughlin, 37, unknown, credit card abuse (2 cases)- Laughlin is accused of using a stolen credit card and using it at two different locations on the same date;

• Justin Robert Emetu, 22, Orange, forgery counterfeit money- Emetu is accused of attempting to pass a counterfeit hundred dollar bill;

• Brian Wayne Kennon, 40, Vidor, driving while intoxicated with a child passenger- Kennon is accused of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and having a child in the vehicle with him;

• Matthew Ray Robbins, 24, Vidor, felony driving while intoxicated (2 cases)- Robbins is accused of having at least two prior convictions of driving while intoxicated and being arrested for the same offense;

•Chelsea Danielle Rossi, 19, Vidor, felony possession of a controlled substance- Rossi is accused of being in possession of amphetamines;

•Ralph Kenneth Jamison Jr. , 45, Kingwood, felony possession of a controlled substance- Jamison is accused of being in possession of methamphetamine;

•Shelly Rhae Jamision, 42, Kingwood, felony possession of a controlled substance- Jamison is accused of being in possession of methamphetamine;

•Anthony Eugene Holmes, 52, Orange, felony possession of a controlled substance- Holmes is accused of being in possession of cocaine;

•Craig Malcomb Miller, 23, Orange, felony possession of a controlled substance- Miller is accused of being in possession of cocaine;

•Donald Ray Guidry, 31, unkown, felony possession of a controlled substance- Guidry is accused of being in possession of cocaine;

•Robert Joseph Jack, 27, Orange, felony possession of a controlled substance- Jack is accused of being in possession of cocaine;

•John Atrimus Watson, 30, Port Arthur, felony possession of a controlled substance- Watson is accused of being in possession of cocaine;

•Justin Jarrod Williams, 19, Orange, felony possession of a controlled substance- Williams is accused of being in possession of cocaine;

•Jared Laterell Simms, 24, La Place, felony possession of a marijuana- Simms is accused of being in possession a felony amount of marijuana;

•Aeron D. Williams, 20, Houston, felony possession of a marijuana- Williams is accused of being in possession a felony amount of marijuana.
