New Orleans (September 14, 2008) -- Capital One Bank today announced the following news regarding its offices and other business operations in Texas and Louisiana impacted by Hurricane Ike:
In Texas:
All banking and back-office locations in Metropolitan Houston will be closed Monday.
All banking and back-office locations in the Golden Triangle of Texas, which includes Jefferson and Orange counties, will be closed Monday.
All but the Brenham and Sealy locations in the Coastal Bend Region will be open and follow regular business operations. Those two locations will reopen as soon as power is restored in their neighborhoods.
All other Texas locations are scheduled to follow regular business operations and schedules, pending availability of electrical power.
In Louisiana
The following locations are scheduled to be closed Monday:
Lake Charles Main Office drive-up
Cameron
Chauvin
All other Louisiana locations are scheduled to follow regular business operations and schedules, pending availability of electrical power.
Capital One Bank’s decisions regarding closing and reopening of branches are based on the safety of bank associates and customers, electrical power availability, weather and road conditions, and staffing considerations.
Capital One has 175 locations and 320 ATMs in Louisiana and 166 branches and 276 ATMs in Texas. Customers also have the option of using Capital One ATMs and the Capital One’s Online Banking service at www.capitalonebank.com.
