BRIDGE CITY — There were several big Orange County performances at the Cardinal Relays at Larry Ward Stadium Thursday and the Port Neches-Groves boys and East Chambers girls brought home the team titles.

Orangefield’s Madison Helm captured three events in the girls field, winning the 3,200 meters (12:15.52), the 400 meters (63.34) and the 1,600 meters (5:38.61) in a busy day.

On the boys side, there were some double winners.

LC-M’s Eli Peveto captured both the 3,200 meters (10:15.24) and the 1,600 meters (4:39.58). His LC-M teammate Christian Weatherly continues to shine in the jumps as he won the high jump (6-6) and the triple jump (43-8 ½).

Bridge City’s Adam Snyder dominated both throwing events, winning the shot put (47-9) and the discus (123-10 ½).
