Will Johnson, who walked and went to third on an error, scored on a passed ball to trim the margin to 6-5. Grant Lapoint drew a walk and eventually scored on a Tevin Terrell RBI single to center.
With two outs, Aidan Anderson made it 8-6 Mustangs when he crushed a Robert Howard offering over the centerfield fence for a two-run home-run blast.
The Titans, however, responded with four runs in the top of the fifth. They scored two straight runs after batters got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to tie it.
Memorial then added a run on a bases-loaded walk and went up 10-8 by scoring on a passed ball.
The Mustangs trimmed the margin to 10-9 in the bottom of the fifth. Chase Rutledge had a leadoff single to shallow right, went to second on a wild pitch and eventually scored on a Johnson groundout.
Memorial snared a 1-0 lead in the top of the third when Jonathan Sanchez scored on a bases-loaded walk to Ernesto Ramirez.
The Mustangs erupted for four runs in the bottom half of the third.
Johnson had a leadoff single to right. Maurice Morris followed with a perfect bunt and reached on a Titan error. Terrell then hit a grounder that Memorial second baseman Ramiro Sanchez mishandled as Johnson and Morris both scored.
After Aidan Anderson singled, Grant Anderson ripped a RBI double to left that plated Terrell for a 3-1 lead. Aidan Anderson then scored on a third-strike passed ball to Kalen Garrett.
The Titans tallied six runs in the fourth to take a 6-4 edge.
Sanchez made it 4-2 with a RBI groundout. After a bases-loaded walk that scored a run, Ramirez put the Titans up 5-4 with a two-run bloop single between second base and centerfield. Taylor Larrie eventually scored on a passed ball to make it 6-4.
