Kyle Richardson had six points and six rebounds. Sean Smith had six points. Darion Gray had five points and five boards while Corey Thames added six rebounds.
“We knew coming in that Dumas was their man,” said Wilkins. “He’s an excellent player and those type of kids, they’re going to get theirs and he did. We controlled all the rest of them though. All of our kids contributed and you gotta love that.”
The Mustangs dominated the Falcons on the glass, outrebounding them 46-32.
Tevin Terrell added six rebounds for the Mustangs while Blanchard had five.
WO-S pumped in eight quick points and Corey Carcisse scored all five of his points in the first quarter to help the Mustangs gain the 22-6 edge.
Dumas then led a little Huffman rally as he scored 13 in the opening period to trim the WO-S lead to 24-15 at the end of the first.
The Mustangs outscored the Falcons 19-9 in the second period to lead comfortably 43-24 going into halftime. Paige scored seven in the period and nailed two three-point shots.
Huffman got as close as 46-32 in the third period and trailed 56-39 heading to the fourth. Dumas hit for 11 more points in the period while Paige had six more for the Mustangs.
“Overall, I thought we played well,” said WIlkins. “I thought we had a couple lulls in the game and we did have way too many turnovers, which is something we normally don’t half. There is always something to work home. I’m just thrilled for them and now they’re ready to move on to face LaMarque.”
WO-S went on to outscore the Falcons 28-16 in the fourth.
Rutledge scored eight of his points in the final period while Joubert, Blanchard and Thompson all scored four apiece.
Huffman finished with 22 turnovers while the Mustangs also had 22.
WO-S finished just 16-of-29 from the free-throw line while the Falcons went only 16-of-28.
