Lady Bears, Mustangs net softball wins

ORANGE — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Ladfy Bears and West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs nabbed a pair of district softball victories last Saturday and Friday.

The Lady Bears (22-6, 9-2) pelted the Beaumont Ozen Lady Panthers 18-0 Saturday in three innings.

LC-M piled up 19 hits in the win.

Taylor Fraccastoro was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with four triples and six runs batted in and scored a pair of runs.

Haley Mills was 2-for-3, scored two runs and drove in two more. Blythe Ferguson was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Hope Russell went 2-for-3 and drove in a run. Alisha Fuss had a double, scored twice and drove in two. Chelsey White went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Morgan Babineaux had a hit, scored and drove in two runs. Jenna James also had a hit, scored and drove in a run. Angel Villanueva had a hit, scored and drove in a run. Alexie Hughes singled, scored twice and drove in a run. Ashley Short and Danielle Hodges also had singles and scored a run apiece.

Russell got the win on the mound for LC-M. She worked all three innings, allowing no hits while striking out seven and walking none.

The Lady Mustangs made quick work of Hamshire-Fannett Friday, downing the Lady Longhorns 15-0 in three innings.

Mallory Jackson pitched for the Lady Mustangs (14-8, 3-6). She did not allow a hit and had one strikeout.

Madison Neal was 2-for-2 at the plate with a triple and three RBI. Aaliyah Teel went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
