Lady Bobcats make quick work of Furr, 23-0

BAYTOWN, Texas —

After Sami Burgess walked, Dickerson roped a RBI double to left to up the margin to 9-0. Dickerson later scored on a wild pitch. Ancelot reached on a walk and would score on an errant throw on a pickoff attempt at third. Turleigh made it 12-0 with a solo home-run bomb over the left-centerfield fence.

The Lady Bobcats tacked on four runs in the top of the second. Fontenot had a big hit to left to lead things off. Dickerson had a sacrifice fly for the first run of the inning, Sami Burgess scored on a wild pitch. After Breaux and Evans both had singles to left Turleigh brought them both in with a towering double to center.

Orangefield tallied seven runs in the top of the third.

After Gatreaux drew a walk, Bradley brought her home with a double to left. Bradley darted home off a Fontenot single. Ancelot brought home two more runs with a single to right. Gatreaux capped the scoring with a two-run double to center.

Furr pitcher Jennifer Villareal worked all three innings, allowing nthe 16 hits and 13 walks.
