WO-S' Paige makes All-State; LC-M's Fuss All-Region

ORANGE — West Orange-Stark senior guard LaQuarious Paige made the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class 3A All-State and All-Region Team that was announced Friday.

Paige, who will take his talents to Indiana State University next season, averaged 17.5 points a game to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists for head coach Jaspn Wilkins as he helped lead the Mustangs to the District 21-3A title and all the way to the 3A Region III Tournament.

Paige was the Most Valuable Player on the All-Orange Leader Team and on the All-District 21-3A Team.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville post Blake Fuss also made the Class 4A All-Region Team after averaging a double-double for Coach Darin Harley and the Bears, who made the postseason.

Fuss averaged 12.3 points a game to go along with 10.1 rebounds.

Paige was joined on the 3A All-State Team by Hardin-Jefferson’s Zjori Bosha. Silsbee’s Patrick Reed and Chris Elam both made All-Region.

In Class 5A, Port Arthur Memorial’s Dorian Chatman made All-State and All-Region while Beaumont West Brook’s Michael Zeno made All-Region.

In Class 4A Nederland’s Colton Weisbrod, Beaumont Central’s E’Torrian Willridge and Beaumont Ozen’s Jordan Hunter all made All-State and All-Region.

In Class 2A, Kountze’s Grayson Arnold made All-State and All-Region while teammate Xavier Bares made All-Region.
