Lady Bears thrash Livingston

LITTLE CYPRESS — Scoring nine runs in the first inning, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears belted the Livingston Lady Lions 17-2 in their District 20-4A opener at Lady Bear Field Tuesday night in a game that went just four innings.

Hope Russell got the win on the hill for LC-M. She worked four innings, allowing just two hits while striking out four.

Alisha Fuss swung a big bat for the Lady Bears as she belted a home run and drove in six.

Mikaela Stegall was 2-for-4 with a RBI. Angel Villanueva was 1-for-2, scored two runs and plated two more. Taylor Fraccastoro was 1-for-3 with three runs scored. Haley Mills had a double, scored a run and drove in one. Morgan Babineaux had a hit and drove in two runs while Blythe Ferguson scored three times.

The Lady Bears will participate in the College Station Tournament Thursday through Saturday.
