Lady Cats torture H-F

FANNETT — The Orangefield Lady Bobcats are inching closer to a District 21-3A title after they crushed the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns 14-2 Tuesday night at Lady Longhorn Field.

The Lady Bobcats (18-3, 9-1) will host the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks (8-2 in district) Friday night. An Orangefield win would seal the 21-3A crown.

The Lady Bobcats picked up 13 hits against H-F pitching.

Kaleigh Evans was 3-for-4 with two doubles. Katelyn Dickerson was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Kelsey Ancelot was 3-for-4 and scored three times.

Haley Fontenot went 2-for-3 while Ashton Gautreaux, Kylie Bradley, Maleda Saucedo and Khandi Breaux all had singles.

Breaux got the win on the hill. Both H-F runs were unearned and she struck out seven.

H-J defeated the WO-S Lady Mustangs (14-9, 3-7) 12-1 Tuesday night.
