Members Little Cypress-Mauriceville Swim Team competed in the Class 4A Southern Zone TISCA Invitation Swim Meet at the Tex Rex Robertson Natatorium in the Galloway-Hammond Recreation Center in Burnet last weekend.
The Bears who participated in the big event included senior Brittney Dorman and freshmen Cassey Brown and Alex Dorman.

Brittney Dorman held on to two fourth-place finishes in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events, collecting two ribbons in the process.
Alex Dorman pulled out a 15th-place finish in the 500-freestyle and placed 16th in the 200-yard freestyle.
Before the meet got started, three special guests wowed the crowd. University of Texas men’s head swim coach Eddie Reese, along with world-record holder and U.S. Olympic gold medalist Brendan Hansen and two-time Olympic gold medalist Neil Walker demonstrated championship swim technique to the excited crowd.
The LC-M team returns to action Nov. 29 for the Golden Triangle Invitational in Nederland, then it will head to the Manvel High School Invitational Dec. 1.
