Students from Sims Elementary in Bridge City recently hand-made approximately 350 Christmas cards which will be donated to “Operations Camo Christmas” and sent to troops overseas. On Tuesday morning, Commander Dewey Vaughan of American Legion Post 7 (Port Arthur) was on hand to thank students and presented certificates to the school principal, as well as to teacher Joyce Rainey, at left, for spearheading the program. Vaughan attended on behalf of Commander Mike Reilly of American Legion Post 250 in Bridge City, who was unable to attend. None/ (Click for larger image)
