Speed limit changes topic of Public Hearing

ORANGE — Cars may soon travel slower in Bobcat Trails and on Sand Bar Road in Orangefield.

Orange County Commissioners Court is holding a public hearing at 1:45 p.m. Monday to discuss setting speed limits at 20 miles per hours in Bobcat Trails and on Sand Bar Road.

The hearing will also include discussing the reversal of stop signs on Jefferson Street at the intersection of Jasper Street.

County Engineer Clark Slacum said the county is taking pro-active measures to prevent accidents.
