BEAUMONT — Nationally known artists have been frequent visitors to Southeast Texas on many occasions, and below are just some of the events which have taken place over the years. Here are shows for the week of Nov. 14 - Nov. 21.

• Nov. 16, 2002 Alternative metal band Tool performed a sold-out showcase inside the Montagne Center of Lamar University as the band toured in support of its May 2001 double-platinum release, “Lateralus,” which features the singles “Schism,” “Parabola” and the title track.

• Nov. 17, 2005 Southeast Texas natives, music legends and siblings, Johnny and Edgar Winter performed a rare concert together, with their respective bands, at the Beaumont Civic Center.

• Nov. 18, 2005 The golden age of rock n roll was alive and well this day in history in Orange as groups The Coasters, The Platters and The Drifters performed inside the Lutcher Theater.

• Nov. 18, 2003 The Houston-based band and nationally renowned rock act Kings X performed inside Antone’s on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont.
