Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with a music event made for the weekend.
The “Uncle Sam Jam” will be held on Saturday, July 6 at Ford Pavilion in Beaumont and will feature a day of music culminating with a fireworks display as the finale. Headlining the first-time event is country music star Gary Allan. Special guests include Robert Earl Keen and Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty. More artists will be announced at a later date.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, and cost $20 for reserved and lawn seating, plus a $3 facility, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Ford Park box office, HEB on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, the Beaumont Civic Center and Lake Charles Civic Center or charge by phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets will be $30 on the day of the show.
Gary Allan is touring in support of his January 2013 release, “Set You Free,” his first album to reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and his second to claim the top spot on the Billboard Country albums chart. It also features the number 1 single, “Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)” and the Top 40 hit, “Pieces.”
Singer-songwriter Robert Earl Keen’s most recent studio release is the August 2011 release, “Ready for Confetti.” Although he has never had the hit success of other artists, the 57-year-old Texan is regarded as a Texas music legend. He was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012.
Also appearing will be Willie Robertson of the hit television show, Duck Dynasty, the CEO of the family business, Duck Commander. He also does a majority of the narration on the television program.
