Mississippi-rockers 3 Doors Down are headed back to Southeast Texas this summer.
3 Doors Down have announced the second leg of its “Songs from the Basement” acoustic tour and will find its way back to Southeast Texas for the first time since October 2011.
The band will perform on Saturday, Aug. 30, which is Labor Day weekend, at the Jefferson Theatre in downtown Beaumont. Tickets are $35-$65 and go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 19, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Beaumont Civic Center box office, HEB on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, online at www.ticketmaster.com and charge by phone at 800-745-3000.
3 Doors Down will hit the road this summer starting May 30 at Table Mountain Casino in Friant, Calif. and perform through Sept. 13, where the tour will conclude at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, Kan.
The group announced the first leg of its acoustic tour in late 2013 and performed 15 shows this past January and February. It met with such success that a second leg was quickly scheduled.
3 Doors Down released its most recent studio album, “Time of My Life,” in July 2011. The CD peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and featured the singles “When You’re Young” and “Every Time You Go.”
In November 2012, 3 Doors Down released “The Greatest Hits” album which features nine of the band’s No. 1 hits such as “Kryptonite,” “Loser,” “Duck and Run,” “Here Without You,” “When I’m Gone” and more, as well as new tracks “One Light,” “There’s a Life” and “Goodbyes.”
3 Doors Down is touring without long-time bassist Todd Harrell, who was “suspended” by the band in 2013 following a vehicle crash which resulted in the death of a man in Tennessee and Harrell being charged with vehicular homicide.
Harrell was arrested on a separate charge in February in Mississippi for DUI, which resulted in the band issuing a press release stating Harrell’s suspension had been extended indefinitely.
A special treat for fans of 3 Doors Down is a VIP Package offer where select fans may join the band “in the basement” for special on stage seating.
