LAKE CHARLES, La. —

If the continuing cool weather has got you down, then Friday's Liquid Society announcement should get you excited for summer.

The Liquid Society "Party by the Pool" concert series is returning to L'Auberge du Lac Casino and Resort in Lake Charles, La. for another three-month run of music and fun for ages 21 and older every Thursday from May 23 through Aug. 29.

Highlight events for this summer's series include outhern rock icons The Black Crowes, which will kick-off the 2013 season with a performance by the pool on Thursday, May 23, Blackberry Smoke, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Everclear, Eli Young Band and Buckcherry.

The doors open at 7 p.m., each Thursday and the music begins at 8:30 p.m. All events will end at 11 p.m. Also, all shows are subject to change or cancellation due to the threat of inclement weather since this is held in an outdoor setting.

Tickets for most shows are on sale now for $10-$20 at all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 800-745-3000.
