Rapper Lil Boosie set to perform at Ford Arena

BEAUMONT — Louisiana rappers Lil’ Boosie and Webbie are making their way to Southeast Texas.

Lil’ Boosie, along with special guest Webbie, will perform at 8 p.m., Saturday, June 14, at Ford Arena in Beaumont. Tickets for reserved seats are $38 - $103 and go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, May 16, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Ford Park box office, HEB on Dowlen Road in Beaumont, the information kiosk in front of Macy’s at Parkdale Mall in Beaumont, the Lake Charles Civic Center, online at or charge by phone at 800-745-3000.

Lil’ Boosie, born Torrence Hatch in Baton Rouge, La., was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary on March 5 after serving nearly five years on drug charges.

Lil’ Boosie released his debut album, “Youngest Of Da Camp,” in January 2000 and it sold an impressive 10,000 copies.

In April, Lil’ Boosie announced he would release his sixth studio album, “Touchdown 2 Cause Hell,” on July 15. The first single to be released, “Show Da World,” also features Webbie.

Webbie, born Webster Gradney Jr., is also a native of Baton Rouge, La. The rapper signed with Trill Entertainment in 2003 and he emerged onto the hip hop scene in 2005 with “Gimme That,” which featured Bun B.

He has released a series of album including “Savage Life” in 2005, “Savage Life 2” in 2008, “Savage Life 3” in 2011 and “Savage Life 4” in 2013. He is arguably best known for his No. 1 single on the U.S. Rap chart, “Independent,” released in 2007 from “Savage Life 2” disc and featuring Lil’ Phat and Lil’ Boosie.
