Reformed Trick Pony adds Lake Charles date to tour

LAKE CHARLES, La. — A well known country music group has reunited following a lengthy hiatus.

Trick Pony will perform on Friday, July 18 at the Isle of Capri Casino Event Center in Lake Charles, La. for ages 21 and older. Tickets are $15 for Fan Club card members and $20 for all others and are available at www.lake-charles.isleofcapricasinos.com or by phone at 800-843-4758.

The Tennessee-based country music trio features Keith Burns on guitar and vocals, Ira Dean on bass and vocals, and Heidi Newfield on vocals and acoustic guitar. The trio made solo appearances at a 2013 Boston music event which led to the reformation, according to the official band website.

Trick Pony formed in 1996 and released three studio albums during its decade-long career, which featured eight singles, including the Top 20 hits, “On a Night Like This,” “Pour Me,” “On a Mission” and “Just What I Do.”

The group reformed in 2013 and announced earlier this year plans for a tour a new music.
