It’s Halloween weekend, so, hopefully, there will be more treats than tricks in store for your weekend of fun activities and events.



Coushatta Casino

The legendary Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd is appearing in concert tonight inside The Pavilion at Coushatta Casino and Resort in Kinder, La.

The band is touring in support of a brand new album, “God and Guns,” and tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets for $59.50 to $88.50, plus service charges. The show starts at 8 p.m. and all ages are welcome to attend, although children age 16 and younger must be accompanied by parent.



Isle of Capri

One of the biggest Halloween parties in the area has to be at Isle of Capri in Lake Charles on Saturday night as country music superstar Clint Black performs.

However, the show is sold out, so hopefully you already have your tickets in hand.



Brewsky’s

Check out karaoke tonight and Saturday for your listening pleasure, as well as the Halloween costume contest on Saturday night with a $100 prize to the winner. Ages 21 and older are welcome to attend. Call 409-697-3053 for details.



Eagles Lodge

For the small price of $5, this will gain you entry into the Eagles Nest to see one of the best bands in the area tonight. The Outlaws specialize in variety of music, such as music from the ’50s and ’60s and country classics, and this group knows what it takes to have fun.

Karaoke is on tap every Saturday night, with hostess Patty Ferguson. It’s amazingly fun and always free of charge.

Then, start November off on the right foot with a special Sunday afternoon concert featuring music from Alex Caswell and Hightide from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $3 for individuals and $5 per couple at the door.

Cow Bayou Marina

The Dallas Street Ramblers continue to deliver some of the best Cajun and country music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Saturday, while Johnny Vee and Zydasoul occupy the stage from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Capistrano

It’s a double dose of country music as Craig Mouton and Slingshot perform tonight and Saturday at the Capistrano in downtown Orange for ages 21 and older. Admission is free.

Also, every Wednesday and Thursday night, ages 21 and older are invited to stop by and try their hand at karaoke. It’s free of charge.





Cotton’s Cay

There may not be a band this weekend, but the Halloween party on Saturday night, which will feature a DJ spinning great music and regularly scheduled karaoke.

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes for the annual Halloween bash and door prizes will be awarded. Ages 18 and older are welcome to attend and the fun begins at 9 p.m. Call 409-886-9042 for more details.



Madison’s

Check out area variety band JAG tonight at Madison’s in Beaumont, or make it a party with Saturday’s Halloween showcase featuring music from area rockers The Kinship, along with special guest Lee Pelly.

Admission is charged at the door each weekend night for guests ages 21 and older.

Easy’s

Live music is back at Easy’s, located at 2325 Calder Ave. in Beaumont, and it all takes place Saturday night with a great Halloween concert featuring music from Mid-Life Crisis. Ages 21 and older are welcome. Call 409-832-2600 or visit www.easysonline.com



The Barking Dog

Rock this all ages showcase starting at 8 p.m. as live music is provided by area bands Daylight Broadcast, The 94s, and The Get Down. Admission is just $5 at the door. Call 409-835-2275 for more information.



Crockett Street

Crockett Street is offering one of the biggest parties in the area this Saturday night with its 7th annual Nightmare on Crockett Street Halloween party, which includes live music on an outdoor stage, and a midnight costume contest with a $300 first prize. Call 409-833-1881 for more details.



ODC

The Outlaw Drinkin’ Club welcomes area heavy metal music lovers to its second annual Helloween Bash featuring live performances by Killjoy 72, Daycast Theory and more. All shows are ages 18 and older. Call 409-838-5735 for details.



The Hub

Check out a special show tonight at The Hub, located on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont.

Knuckle Deep and The Roaring 20s will perform for ages 18 and older, and, since it is Halloween weekend, guests are encouraged to dress in costume. Also, after the concert, be sure to stick around for a viewing of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” It’s sure to be a sinfully good time.



Honky Tonk Texas

If you love country music, and you like celebrating Halloween in style, then consider traveling to Silsbee as country music act Shenandoah performs at Honky Tonk Texas on Saturday night.

Admission is $20 at the door for ages 21 and older, so get there early because you may not find room if you wait too long. Call 409-386-1995 for details.



Dylan’s

A great weekend of music is in store for patrons of Dylan’s, located on Ninth Avenue in Mid-County, especially since area bands like the Dustin Powell Band and JAG are performing tonight and Saturday, respectively.

Plus, with the annual Halloween party and costume contest on tap, there may be few other places you want to be. Call 409-722-1600 for details.



The Place

The Alley Cats keep the good times rockin’ and rollin’ every Wednesday night for ages 21 and older at The Place in Port Acres. Admission is always free too. Call 409-736-2650 for details.



FUMC

Make your reservations now for what will surely be one of the most entertaining events this fall season. First United Methodist Church in Orange is the place to be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, for a dinner theater event, “Return of the Beverly Hillbillies - Jed Throws a Wingding.”

The production features well known stage talents such as Brook and Kevin Doss, Cindy Reynolds, Donna Benefield, Donna and Doug Rogers, David and Pie Bridges, Cecil Allen, and Janet Bland.

Orange VFW
