Cheers to Imaginuity for marketing work towards City of Orange

Cheers to Imaginuity for the work it has put into marketing the city and its attractions. Orange has some wonderful attractions that have the potential to make the city a regional and statewide tourist destination, including the Lutcher Theater, Stark House and Shangri-La — but, like any other product, these attractions need a marketing campaign to reach their potential. Thanks to Imaginuity, they will have that campaign.



Cheers to Kyle and Michelle Tubbeville and those like them, who initially adopt one or more children and then adopt the children’s siblings after they come along, despite whatever additional stress it might cause for the family. The Tubbevilles adopted Lexi, 9 months old, and William, 19 months old, in November 2006; they now count Lexi’s and William’s brother, 6-month-old Konner, as part of their family. One doesn’t see that kind of selflessness much in this world anymore, and it’s heartwarming to see it when it does manifest itself.



Cheers to the City of West Orange for the work it put into Holiday in the Park last Saturday. It’s less than two months before Christmas, never too early to get into the holiday spirit or to “get together in fellowship” with family and friends, as West Orange mayor Roy McDonald said.



Cheers to all the veterans, living or dead, for the sacrifices they’ve made to ensure that we remain free. Over the last 200-plus years they’ve given everything from their time with their families to their lives to protect our freedoms. We encourage you to come to the Salute to Veterans at noon Saturday at the city’s boat ramp off Simmons Drive to show your appreciation. You might even get a chance to thank a veteran personally for those sacrifices.
