International Paper set to protect, enhance 200,000 acres of forests

ORANGE — Owners of an Orange paper mill recently announced a multi-million dollar parternership geared to restoring, protecting and enhancing forests across eight states.

International Paper announced Friday a $7.5 million gift to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation for a partnership called Forestland Stewards. The project hopes to take care of 200,000 acres of forests across eight southern states including Texas and Louisiana.
