Pink Out Playday

ORANGE — The Cowboy Church of Orange County Arena Ministry Team is proud to partner, once again, with Tough Enough to Wear Pink to host the 2nd Annual CCOC Pink Out Playday. This year's event will again benefit the Julie Rogers "Gift of Life" Program, a Beaumont, Texas based non-profit organization which provides cancer testing, treatment, and education to medically underserved men and women throughout Southeast Texas.

This event will take place Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Cowboy Church of Orange County Arena, located at 673 FM 1078, Orange, Texas 77632. Registration will open at 8:00am and events will start at 10:00am

This year's event will feature several events of equine competition including cloverleaf barrels, straight barrels, flag race, and pole bending. It will also include mutton bustin', a stick horse race, lead line events, and a horse decorating and costume contest.  Entry fee is $5 per rider per event, except mutton bustin, which is $10 per rider. There is no admission fee for spectators.

New this year will be the addition of vendors and a silent auction. Everyone attending, participants, and spectators will also be eligible to win one of a number of door prizes.

A portion of the entry fees will be donated to Gift of Life, in addition to 100% of donations and merchandise profits. A check presentation will take place that afternoon during the awards ceremony at the conclusion of all competition. Gift of Life representatives will be present to accept the check from church members, including cancer survivors and caretakers.

The goal this year is to raise at least $1,000 for the Julie Rogers "Gift of Life" Program.

This event will take place at the Cowboy Church of Orange County Arena, located at 673 FM 1078, Orange, Texas 77632. Anyone with questions or needing more information can contact CCOC Arena Team Leader Kevin Norton at 409-651-9948.
