ORANGE — OC Farmers Market

The Orange County Farmers Market is back in season twice-per-week from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., every Wednesday, in the parking lot of Big Lots on MacArthur Drive in Pinehurst. Items available include green beans, sugar snap peas, yellow squash, potatoes, red onions, mustard greens, tender greens, blueberries, blueberry bushes, plants, homemade jams and jellies, local honey, fresh eggs, homemade cookies and granola, fresh bread and more.The public is welcome to attend.



Church anniversary

Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Orange will celebrate its 93rd Church Anniversary through Sunday, June 2. A host of activities are planned for the entire weekend. Contact the church office for a detailed schedule of events at 409-886-2089.



VHS Graduation

The Vidor High School Class of 2013 will graduate at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 1, at the Beaumont Civic Center.



LC-M Graduation

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Class of 2013 will graduate at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 1, inside the Montagne Center at Lamar University in Beaumont.



Books and more

Threft and Gift, located at 350 37th St. in Orange, is holding a special book sale event featuring paperbacks starting at 25-cents each and hardbacks at 50-cents each. Miscellaneous surprises are on the marked-down table too. Call 409-886-7649 for info.



Farmers Market

A Farmers Market is now available starting at 8:30 a.m., every Saturday, through November at Rocking R Farm and Ranch, 2772 State Highway 12 in Vidor. Vendors are welcome and there is no charge for booths. Call 409-422-4184 for information.

The Southeast Texas Veteran Advocacy Group presents the Southeast Texas Veterans Resource Fair from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, at the VFW Hall, 5303 N. 16th St. in Orange. Event is open to all veterans, active duty, reserve, guard and spouses. Plate lunch fundraiser

American Legion Post 49, 108 Green Ave. in Orange, will hold a plate lunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Thursday, June 6. Cost is $8 and meal consists of fried fish, potato salad, cole slaw, green beans, bread and dessert. Walk-in’s welcome and delivery available. Pool Tournament

BAL Art Camp

The Beaumont Art League, 2675 Gulf St. in Beaumont, will hold a summer art camp for children ages 6-12 years. Sessions will be from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., July 15 - July19 and July 22 – July 26. WO-S Graduation

The West Orange-Stark High School Class of 2013 will hold its graduation ceremony at 6 p.m., Friday, June 7, at Dan Ray Hooks Stadium on the WO-S HS campus.



Mothers Day Out Registration

North Orange Baptist Church MDO/Preschool is now registering for Summer and Fall sessions. The summer session begins June 11. The fall session begins Sept. 3. Classes are from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children ages 9 months through Pre-K are accepted into the program. Master Gardeners

The monthly meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners is held the second Thursday of the month at the Salvation Army building on the corner of MLK and Strickland in Orange. At 6 p.m. is a potluck supper and the business meeting and/or program will start at 6:30 p.m. In July we will have a program on hydroponics. At the end of each meeting door prizes will be drawn. Nederland Art Guild

Nederland Art Guild classes are held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Texas Artists Museum, 3501 Cultural Center Drive near the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur. Cost is $4 for members and $5 for non-members. During the month of March, Ann Hoffpauir of Orange will be the instructor. The City Council of Bridge City will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 4 at City Hall, 260 Rachal in Bridge City. The public is welcome to attend.
