The Service League of Orange will hold the 57th annual Toy Coffee fundraiser from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, in the home of Larry and Jan Jacobs, 304 Waterwood Drive in Orange, in the Waterwood Subdivision off State Highway 62. Admission to the annual event is for guests to bring a new, unwrapped toy or a monetary donation which will be given to The Salvation Army of Orange County for use in its Christmas program for needy families.
Christmas music program
Come celebrate the joyful Spirit of Christmas presented by 11 member churches of the Bridge City Orangefield Ministerial Alliance. Musical program will be hosted by Winfree Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5. Monetary donations will benefit Bridge City and Orangefield children during the Christmas season.
Plate lunch fundraiser
American Legion Post 49, 108 Green Ave. in Orange, will hold a plate lunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5. Cost is $8 and meal consists of fried fish, green beans, cole slaw, potato salad, bread and dessert. Walk-in’s welcome and delivery available. A Christmas Workshop will be sponsored by the Texas Artists Museum from 10 a.m. - noon, Saturday, Dec. 7, at the museum located at 3501 Cultural Center Drive, Port Arthur. Krewe de Bon Amis had one of the most intriguing floats in the 2014 Mardi Gras parade this past Saturday as the “House of Voodoo” rolled through the streets of Orange tossing beads to thousands in attendance.
