Class of 1965 Breakfast gathering

The M.B. North High School class of 1965 will hold a Breakfast Gathering at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at Denny’s restaurant, located at Flying J Plaza, 7112 Interstate 10 West in Orange. Call Peggy Lazenby at 409-746-2139 or Ruby Randle at 409-886-4108 for info.

National Model Railroad Month

Grace Luther Church, 2300 Eddleman Road, invites the public to its Open House events from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, Nov. 23 and Nov. 30 to see mode trains, railroad layouts and an appearance by “Thomas the Train.” On Nov. 30, there will be four other railroad layouts open in the Golden Triangle for viewing as part of the Houston Railroad Tour, in Mauriceville, Bridge City, Groves and Beaumont.  Directions will be available at Grace for each of these layouts. The ever popular “Lego” train layout will also be returning on Nov. 30 at the church. Contact George Bohn, Southeast Texas Model Railroad Club at 409-313-1991 for info.

Fall Festival

The Little Cypress Elementary PTO will hold its Fall Festival from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16. The event includes games and activities for the kids, along with vendor booths and food. Sellers benefit

A benefit will be held from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at Boomtown off of Interstate 10 West in Rose City for Kurt Sellers, who is currently in Houston hospital after suffering a massive heart attack, to help offset mounting medical costs. T-shirts, bracelets and koozies are for sale, as are special order plaques, plus there will be raffles, a bake sale, face-painting, silent auction, BBQ plates, petting zoo and more.
