OC Farmers Market
The Orange County Farmers Market is back in season twice-per-week from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., every Wednesday, in the parking lot of Big Lots on MacArthur Drive in Pinehurst. The public is welcome to attend.

Crawfish for Connor
Cowboy Church on the Rock, 13803 Hwy 90 at Meeker Road in Beaumont, will hold a crawfish boil from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sunday, May 18, benefiting Connor Stanton, a 6-year-old diagnosed with a rare vascular tumor that is currently inoperable. A Farmers Market is now available starting at 8:30 a.m., every Saturday, through November at Rocking R Farm and Ranch, 2772 State Highway 12 in Vidor. Vendors are welcome and there is no charge for booths. Call 409-422-4184 for information.
Heartbeats of Hope will hold its annual rabies clinic fundraiser from 8 a.m. - noon, Saturday, May 18, at Capital One Bank, 1255 N. Main in Vidor. All cats and dogs are eligible for a rabies shot at a discounted rate of $7. Recommended animals be kept in carriers at vehicle.
Saturday Adventure Series
Shangri La Botanical Garden and Nature Center, 2111 W. Park in Orange, invites the public to its Saturday Adventure Series, “Flying Dinosaurs,” at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18. This family-oriented hands-on program will have attendees dig in the mud and search the air for ancient dragonflies, explore their habitats and learn about their life-cycle. Space is limited.
