ORANGE — Heroines of Jericho

The Heroines of Jericho will hold its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13 at Gate City Masonic Lodge No. 31, 1017 Mill at John St. in Orange. All Heroines and Knights are asked to be present.

Men’s Breakfast

First United Methodist Church will hold its Men’s Breakfast at 8 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, in the Praise Center at First UMC in Orange.

City Council

The City Council of Bridge City will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17 at City Hall, 260 Rachal in Bridge City. The public is welcome to attend.


First United Methodist Church in Orange will hold M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Pre-schoolers) from  9:30 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Sept. 19, in the Praise Center of First UMC Orange.

SETX Stamp Club

The Southeast Texas Stamp Club will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Mid-Jefferson County Meeting Room, 7965 Viterbo Road in Beaumont. Exit to the Jack Brooks Regional Airport, pass the Chevrolet Sales and take the first right by the License Center, come to the end of the road and turn left, it will be the 2nd building on the left. Red Hot Flashers

The Red Hot Flashers of Orange County of the Red Hat Society will meet at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 19 at PK’s Grill on Strickland Drive. The birthday lady is Madam Rebecca. She will entertain the group. Ladies will bring door prizes. Call 409-886-1609 for info.

POW/MIA Program

Orange VFW Post 2775 will hold a POW/MIA program at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20 at the VFW HAll, 5303 N. 16th St. in Orange. The public is invited to attend. Call 409-883-0264 for more information.

Peel Out Car Club

The Orange Peel Out Car Club will have its 5th annual Open Car Show from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Granger Chevrolet, 2611 MacArthur Drive in Orange. Entry fee is $20 in advance and $25 day of show. Entrants receive a free T-shirt and dash plaque. This is an open show and vehicles need not be classic or antique to enter. Trophies awarded.
